Model: VW Passat 99 Fault Code: P0441 Posted: 2008-01-17 17:09

Hello everyone, I own a 1999 VW Passat GLX with a 2.8L V6 engine. Today, I took my car to AutoZone to scan the OBD system and received two diagnostic trouble codes: P0455 and P0441. I'm not sure what these mean or how to fix them. Can anyone provide clarity on what these error codes indicate for this specific model?

You most likely have a broken or disconnected vacuum hose in the EVAP (Evaporative Emission Control) system. There is often a schematic label located under the hood or inside the engine bay that shows the routing of these hoses. You'll need to get under the vehicle and visually inspect all vacuum lines for cracks, disconnections, or leaks.
