VW New Beetle P1424 Fault: Secondary Air Injection System - Bank 1

My daughter's VW New Beetle has recently started displaying the P1424 diagnostic code, triggering the Check Engine Light (CEL). Approximately a month ago, I first encountered the P1423 code, which I traced to a cracked secondary air injection pipe connecting the pump to the combi valve. Now, the vehicle is showing the P1424 code. Can anyone provide guidance on diagnosing this issue?

Inspect the back of the engine near the air injection valve to check if the vacuum hose has burned due to heat. This is a very common cause of dealer-reported issues, along with deteriorated plastic hoses and faulty air injection pumps.

Are you referring to the combi valve as the air injection valve? The combination valve includes a vacuum line that activates it, while the air pump output pipe connects directly to it. I replaced all vacuum lines before identifying the initial cracked air pipe issue. Thanks for your input!
