I own a 1997 VW Cabrio with a 2.0L engine and 5-speed manual transmission. I've been consistently receiving the P0440 diagnostic trouble code. Can someone explain what this code means and how it can be resolved? The vehicle is running normally, but the check engine light comes on intermittently.
