I'm experiencing a P0400 diagnostic trouble code on my Toyota Venza 1.6L 16-valve gasoline engine. I've tried clearing the code using an OBD2 scanner, but it returns after a short time. I've already checked the EGR valve and confirmed that it opens and closes properly when tested with a hand-operated tool. The question is: what other components could be causing this issue in the EGR system? And if I replace any part, will the P0400 code persist or resolve permanently?
