2000 GMC Sierra Running Poorly with No Spark on Driver's Side Coils and Fault Codes P0131, P0140, P0160, P0200, P0300

Model: truck Fault Code: P0301 Posted: 2014-07-18 20:21

My 2000 GMC Sierra began running extremely poorly suddenly—experiencing severe sputtering and a complete loss of power. A mechanic I know inspected it and initially suspected faulty fuel injectors. After testing all injectors, they were found to be functioning properly. Further diagnosis revealed that none of the four spark coils on the driver's side are producing any spark or arc when removed. The vehicle is showing multiple diagnostic trouble codes: P0131, P0140, P0160, P0200, and P0300. I'm out of budget for repairs and am considering taking it to a shop. Any advice on next steps or potential causes would be greatly appreciated.

Check if there is 12V power on the pink wire at each coil. Verify the voltage at the underhood fuse box—use a multimeter to test fuses, not just visually. The fuse in question is likely labeled 'InjFuse A' or 'InjFuse B'. Also confirm whether the vehicle has any modifications or aftermarket parts installed.
