P0325 Knock Sensor Code in 2005 Chrysler Town & Country 3.3L: No Check Engine Light, No Knock Sensor Present
I recently received a P0325 knock sensor circuit fault code from my OBD-II scanner. Notably, the check engine light is not illuminated. After clearing the code, it reappeared immediately. I need to complete an smog/obd compliance inspection soon, as this 2005 model year Chrysler Town & Country does not have a traditional knock sensor according to factory specifications. The vehicle runs smoothly and shows no performance issues. I have already replaced the camshaft position sensor, powertrain control module (PCM), and crankshaft position sensor. Despite these updates, the P0325 code persists. I'm at a loss as to why this fault is appearing, given that the engine should not have a knock sensor in this model year.
The knock sensor is typically located on the engine block, above the starter and toward the alternator, with threaded mounting holes into the block.
