Suzuki Jimny 1.5 DCI 2009 - P0263, P0170, P0201 Faults: Blue Smoke, Cold Start Issues After Roof Accident
Hi everyone, I'm experiencing persistent engine issues with my 2009 Suzuki Jimny 1.5 DCI (diesel), manual transmission. The vehicle has only covered 9,000 km and recently suffered a roof impact during an accident. After repairs, the engine performance has significantly degraded. When cold, the car runs very unstably and produces blue smoke — a clear sign of oil consumption or internal combustion issues. Once warmed up, it runs slightly better but still lacks power and responsiveness. The onboard diagnostic system shows three fault codes: - P0263: Injector 4 (right side) has poor fuel delivery - P0170: System too lean — indicates an air-fuel mixture imbalance - P0201: Injector 1 has a misfire or incorrect fuel injection timing I've already checked the wiring harness from injector 1 to the driver-side engine mounting, and continuity tests with a multimeter show no issues. The injectors were professionally tested at a local diesel service — all passed. I’ve also cleaned the EGR valve (known for dust-related clogging), but the symptoms persist. I visited a Suzuki dealership, where technicians confirmed the fault codes but could not identify the root cause or provide further diagnostics — they only charged me for testing and offered no solutions. Given that the car has minimal mileage and was involved in an accident, I'm concerned about potential internal engine damage. Are there any other possible causes for these codes? Could it be a sensor issue (e.g., oxygen sensor, MAF), fuel pump failure, or a problem with the ECU calibration after impact? Any real-world experiences or suggestions from owners of 2009 Suzuki Jimny 1.5 DCI models would be greatly appreciated.
