2004 Sentra QR25DE P0335 Crankshaft Position Sensor Issue After Engine Build
I'm experiencing a P033-335 (Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit) code on my 2004 Sentra SR Spec V with the QR25DE engine. The engine build details include: - 8:5:1 compression ratio - CP pistons with standard bore - Carrillo connecting rods - Ferrea valves, locks, and springs - B16 (second-generation QR25) crankshaft with properly installed trigger wheel - NGK Double Platinum spark plugs (uncertain whether hotter or colder was needed) I have already replaced the OEM crankshaft position sensor, and the issue persists. The wiring harness appears intact, but I haven't yet tested continuity or voltage on the CKP sensor circuit. The engine was assembled by a machine shop, which also polished and inspected the B16 crankshaft. The machine shop confirmed that the crankshaft is in good condition and properly aligned. One user suggested that low compression might be contributing to the issue, but I haven't measured compression yet. I'm currently at a loss as to what else could be causing this P0335 fault.
You've already addressed the key step—check continuity and voltage on the crankshaft position sensor (CKP) circuit. This is a common diagnostic point for P0335 issues, especially after engine builds.
