P0411 Diagnostic and Repair: Water Damage to Air Pump and Check Valve in 2007 Saturn Ion 2.2L

I recently replaced the air pump and check valve on my 2007 Saturn Ion 2.2L, but encountered water ingress during the replacement. The water damaged both the connector at the check valve and the valve itself. After replacing these components, the original fault codes disappeared, but a new P0411 code (Incorrect Upstream Flow) has appeared. I've verified that power and ground are functioning properly, and both the pump and check valve have been tested for operation. The only physical observation is that the larger hose connecting to the air pump does not snap into place securely. Could this loose connection be causing an incorrect upstream flow reading? The P0411 code specifically relates to airflow measurement issues in the evaporative system, so I'm concerned whether a mechanical misalignment or poor seal could trigger this fault.
