How to Fix P0532 A/C Low Pressure Sensor Issue in 2007 Pontiac Torrent

Model: Pontiac Torrent Fault Code: P0532 Posted: 2015-01-05 10:57

Does anyone know how to diagnose and fix the low refrigerant pressure sensor reading indicated by fault code P0532 in a 2007 Pontiac Torrent? The issue is related to the A/C system's pressure monitoring, and proper diagnosis requires checking both sensor readings and actual system pressures.

P0532 indicates a low refrigerant pressure sensor circuit. Start by reviewing recent maintenance work—has the sensor been disconnected or replaced? Check freeze frame data for historical conditions. Using an OBD2 scanner, verify the actual voltage output from the A/C pressure sensor. Additionally, use a manifold gauge set to measure real-time high and low side AC system pressures to confirm whether the issue is sensor-related or due to refrigerant level problems.

I replaced the A/C compressor with a used unit and now only have the P0532 code. This suggests the new motor may not be fully compatible, or the issue persists despite mechanical replacement—could indicate an underlying sensor or system pressure problem.

same suggestions look at freeze frame data... check sensor - wiggle wires confirm it is connected.. With scanner WHAT is the AC sensor voltage? With gauges what is the AC pressure HIGH and LOW readings..
