P0087 OBD2 Code in 2008 Pontiac Solstice GXP: Fuel Pressure and Sensor Diagnosis

I'm experiencing a P0087 diagnostic trouble code on my 2008 Pontiac Solstice GXP. I've manually tested the fuel rail pressure and obtained readings within the normal or high range (60–70 psi) with the ignition on and at idle. Is this indicating a faulty fuel pressure sensor, or could there be another underlying issue? Any insights or troubleshooting tips would be greatly appreciated.
