I own a 2005 Nissan Pathfinder that is experiencing misfiring, sudden VDC shutdown during acceleration, and occasional engine stalling while running. The vehicle is currently displaying Diagnostic Trouble Code P0345, indicating a cam position sensor circuit malfunction. I have already replaced the cam position sensor, but the symptoms persist. Could there be another underlying issue? Any insights or troubleshooting steps would be greatly appreciated.

Inspect the wiring and connector for the cam position sensor both visually and using a digital multimeter (DVOM) to ensure proper continuity and signal integrity. Corrosion, loose connections, or damaged harnesses can mimic sensor failure even after replacement.
