Nissan Xterra P0089 Fault Code and Check Engine Light: Diagnosis and Fix

Good morning. I own a Nissan Xterra equipped with an MWM engine manufactured in Brazil. Recently, the vehicle has been displaying fault code P0089 along with the check engine light. The issue appears randomly — when I turn off the engine and restart it immediately, the check engine light disappears. However, the code reappears after a few minutes or during driving. Using my smartphone app (Torque), I can read: 'Tren Motriz - Suction control valve stuck'. I contacted a local Nissan dealership for assistance, but they were unable to provide any specific information about this fault code on the MWM engine variant.
