Nissan Skyline (2001) SRS Light with B1052 Code: Is It Airbag Module or Clock Spring Fault?
Has anyone encountered a B1052 fault code on their 2001 Nissan Skyline (Driver's Air Bag Module Short)? I recently had my vehicle scanned and the B1052 code appeared. Replacing the airbag module can be expensive, so before making that investment, I want to confirm whether a faulty clock spring could have triggered this specific code. If the clock spring were defective, would it have generated another diagnostic code? Any insights or experiences with this issue on Nissan Skyline models would be greatly appreciated.
It's not always the case, though I'm less certain about Nissans specifically. With Chrysler vehicles, a failing clock spring often results in loss of horn function and sometimes cruise control. Can you hear any clicking or unusual noise when turning the steering wheel? If you clear the code, does it return immediately—or do you need to turn the steering wheel for it to reappear?
