How to Test EGR Solenoid on 1999 Nissan Sentra Using OBDII via ELM327
Does anyone know the specific OBDII command needed to activate or deactivate the EGR solenoid on a 1999 Nissan Sentra? I'm currently using an ELMS327-based OBDII reader and am familiar with reading PIDs through command-line interface. However, I'm unsure whether the EGR solenoid can be controlled via the ELM327 (or if it's even supported). I know that dedicated Nissan diagnostic tools can perform this function. My vehicle is currently displaying a P0400 error code, which suggests an issue with the EGR system. Any guidance on sending direct commands to control the EGR solenoid would be greatly appreciated. The 1999 Nissan Sentra does not support bilateral control of the EGR solenoids via standard OBDII commands, and such functions are typically only accessible through manufacturer-specific diagnostic tools.
