Nissan Pathfinder P1273 Code Persisting After Multiple Catalytic Converter and Sensor Replacements

Model: nissan pathfinder Fault Code: P1273 Posted: 2018-01-21 11:06

I've been experiencing the P1273 diagnostic trouble code on my 2005 Nissan Pathfinder for over two months. Despite replacing all four catalytic converters, bank 1 upstream and downstream oxygen sensors, as well as the MAF sensor, the code continues to return. Additionally, both valve covers and oil gaskets have been replaced due to oil leaks. I'm seeking advice on what else could be causing this persistent issue. Any insights or troubleshooting steps would be greatly appreciated.

The NTB04-126 trouble code refers to a reset or self-learning procedure that should occur after catalytic converter replacement. It's important to confirm whether this procedure was completed by your mechanic when the converters were replaced. If not, the code may be set incorrectly and could require a relearn process. Your mechanic might owe you a redo of this step.

Thanks for the clarification. I'll follow up with my mechanic to ensure the reset procedure was properly performed.
