Nissan Micra 2006 (Ireland) - Power Steering Failure with Code C1606

Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum and hoping for some help. I currently have a 2006 Nissan Micra in Ireland. The power steering light has come on and remains lit permanently, resulting in complete loss of power steering assistance. While I can still drive the car with significantly heavy steering, my sister — who owns the vehicle — cannot steer it safely at all. I performed an OBD2 diagnostic and received fault code C1606. Based on EOBD coding structure: - C = Chassis - 1 = Enhanced (manufacturer-specific) - 6 = Computer & Output Circuit Can anyone provide more detailed information about what this code means, or how to resolve it?
