Hi all! My check engine light came on on Sunday. I bought a scanner and read the code. It returned P0101. I looked it up and realized it's the Mass Air Flow Sensor. My gas mileage when tank is full is usually 500 miles. Suddenly a full tank dropped to 370 miles. My car is Nissan Altima 2.5s and the year is 2013. I need help to fix this. Can someone please guide me? Thanks.
Thanks a lot for the quick response. The check engine light disappeared without any servicing. Is this normal? My car is less than 200 miles due for servicing. Could that check engine light be a reminder? Was it a false alarm? I am as confused now as ever. Can someone please enlighten me.
a TOT - temporary out of tolerance. educated way of saying IDK. I would look at the freeze frame data for the code - make a mental note, a visual inspection and continue to operate.
with your scanner look at the MAF voltage at idle - ? 1.3 - 1.6v.... yes no Any recent work? do NOT use an oiled air filter. Clean MAF - there is a spray just for MAF cleaning. check for vacuum leaks AFTER MAF sensor, disconnected hose, clamp etc
