Mitsubishi Lancer 1.5 2010 OBD2 Fault Code P0136 - Bank 1 Sensor 2 Issue
My Mitsubishi Lancer 1.5 (2010 model) has only 27,000 km on the odometer and was purchased new. After seven years, the engine warning light appeared. Using an OBD-II scanner, I detected a fault code P0136 indicating a problem with Bank 1 Sensor 2. I replaced the battery as it was due, disconnected the sensor from its connector, and cleared the code. However, upon restarting the vehicle, the engine warning light reappeared. What could be causing this issue? The fault persists even after clearing the code and resetting the system.
If the fault code is P0136 (Oxygen Sensor Heater Circuit), then either the sensor heater circuit or the oxygen sensor itself may be faulty. It's important to verify the exact code and ensure proper electrical connections before assuming a replacement is needed.
