Mercedes W212 E200 CDI P0087 Fault: Low Fuel Pressure and Limp Mode After Replacing Pump, Filter, and Rail
I'm experiencing a persistent P0087 fault on my Mercedes W212 E200 CDI. This diagnostic code indicates low fuel pressure, which is causing the vehicle to enter limp mode. I've already replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter, and fuel rail, but the issue continues. The fault clears itself after approximately 24 hours, suggesting a recurring or intermittent problem. A user suggested that clogged fuel injectors might be the root cause, though I expect a full diagnostic scan would reveal specific injector errors. Given that no clear code appears for the injectors, I'm at a loss as to what else could be causing this issue. Any insights or experiences with similar P0087 problems on W212 E200 CDI models would be greatly appreciated.
