Hi, I'm experiencing the same issue. Has anyone successfully diagnosed or resolved this problem? Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

Have you reviewed and understood the links I provided for P2033 and P2318 explanations?

The issue was resolved. Replacing the downstream oxygen sensor eliminated the P2033 code, while upgrading the TCU cleared the P2318 code. The vehicle now runs smoothly. I also replaced the intake air temperature sensor, which previously showed erratic readings on STAR diagnostics. After installing the parts and rechecking, I discovered a small amount of gearbox oil had seeped onto the cable leading to the TCU—likely causing the malfunction. This was probably the root cause. BTW, as usual, I'm sorry for my broken English.

Thanks for your reply! My issue is now fixed too—it turned out to be two vacuum hoses and a MAF sensor that needed resealing. As for the vehicle choice, I’m still torn between keeping my S600L and CLS55. I love both cars—especially the sound of the CLS—but I find the tiptronic gearbox less enjoyable and miss the paddle shift functionality in the S-Class.
