I recently installed a new transmission in my 1997 Mercedes C230. Now, when shifting into drive or reverse, I'm experiencing a loud thumping noise. I checked the transmission fluid after installation and it appears black. How can I properly clean or restore the fluid? Additionally, the vehicle is now displaying Diagnostic Trouble Code P0730. The issue may be related to internal wear or improper fluid condition post-replacement.
