P0730 OBD2 Code in Mazda Premacy: Gear Shift Issues and Sensor Diagnosis

Model: Mazda Premacy Fault Code: P0730 Posted: 2015-05-27 02:03

I recently had the oxygen sensor replaced on my Mazda Premacy Oxygen Sensitive model, but now the car is experiencing gear shifting problems. The transmission is not changing gears smoothly, and a warning light indicating 'overdraft' is flashing. After checking the diagnostic trouble code, I found P0730. I'm wondering whether this issue is caused by the oxygen sensor replacement or if it might point to a more serious transmission problem. Can anyone confirm if the sensor change could be responsible for this behavior, or should I consider a gearbox fault?

P0730 typically indicates a mismatch in gear ratio or a faulty transmission sensor. First check the wiring and connections at the transmission sensors. Ensure there are no loose or corroded wires. For more details, refer to OBD2 code P0730 explanations on obd-codes.com.

Thanks for the helpful link — I'll check the wiring and sensor connections first before considering a transmission repair.
