2001 Mazda MPV Check Engine Code 1481: What Does It Mean and How to Fix It?

The check engine light has come on again on my 2001 Mazda MPV. After taking it to the shop, the diagnostic tool returned code 1481. The mechanic could not provide any information about this specific code and only suggested I visit the dealership. While I'm hesitant due to already having paid for the scan, I'm wondering if anyone else has encountered or can explain what Code 1481 means on a 2001 Mazda MPV. This van has previously had the check engine light come on three times—twice due to left and right oxygen sensors failing, and once because of a thermostat issue. I'm hoping this time it's something similar or that there's a known cause for code 1481 in this model year. Thanks for any insights.
