Cylinder 3 Misfire Diagnosis for 2006 Mazda 3 with 18,000 Miles

Model: mazda 3 Fault Code: P0300 Posted: 2006-10-03 20:44

While driving my 2006 Mazda 3, the engine began hesitating and then the check engine light illuminated. A few minutes later, the vehicle stalled. The car was towed to the dealer, where they initially reported a cracked battery. Further diagnostics revealed a misfire in cylinder 3. I'm wondering what could be causing this—could it be a blown head gasket or another issue? The car has only 18,000 miles and was purchased new from the dealership. Any insights on possible causes would be greatly appreciated.

Possible causes include fouled spark plugs, worn ignition wires, a faulty coil pack, or a malfunctioning fuel injector. Many potential issues exist—definitely recommend getting the diagnosis rechecked with proper OBD2 scanning and cylinder-specific testing.
