2008 Lexus IS F P2714 Fault: Solenoid D Stuck in 'Off' Position - Unable to Drive Forward
I own a 2008 Lexus IS F, and my lady friend borrowed it for a drive. During her trip, the vehicle unexpectedly pulled over on the side of the road, ending up across a ditch with significant front-end damage. After repairing the front end and replacing the radiator fan along with other components, I refilled the radiator fluid as recommended. The system now shows correct fluid levels, but the car will only back up — it fails to move forward. After performing a diagnostic check, the fault code returned is P2714: Solenoid 'D' is stuck in the 'Off' position. This issue appears to be related to transmission control and could prevent proper gear engagement when moving forward. I'm seeking advice on how to resolve this specific solenoid problem or whether it requires a reprogramming or replacement of the transmission control module.
Could the trans cooler be part of the radiator system? If so, might that affect the P2714 solenoid issue when driving forward?
