Lexus ES330 P0356 Ignition Coil Location and VSC Warning Explanation

Model: Lexus ES330 Fault Code: P0356 Posted: 2015-02-14 20:24

Hi everyone, I'm looking for help identifying the location of the #6 ignition coil on my 2004 Lexus ES330. Additionally, I'd like to know if a P0356 fault code will trigger the VSC (Vehicle Stability Control) warning light and the 'Check Engine' indicator. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

On the 2004 Lexus ES330 with a 3.3L engine, the #6 ignition coil is located on the front bank, driver's side. The P0356 code indicates a primary or secondary circuit issue. If you find a faulty coil, it's critical to use only an authentic OEM Toyota or Lexus part for proper performance and reliability. For detailed reference, see: http://www.obd-codes.com/p0356. Note that diagnosing the full system requires a professional scanner capable of reading all modules including ABS and engine control systems.

All ignition coils on this model can show primary or secondary circuit faults, which may point to issues with coil integrity or wiring connections.

What about when you get a code for every cylinder and you have replaced the computer

I've noticed inconsistent ohm readings on the front three coils of my 2005 Lexus ES330 with a 3.3L engine. What should the ideal resistance value be for these ignition coils? Does anyone have accurate specs for this model?

I'm experiencing misfires across all six cylinders and have already replaced the ECM. Could there still be a problem with the ignition coils or wiring, or is it possible that another system component is at fault? A full diagnostic scan may be needed to confirm.
