'02 Kia Spectra P0030/P0134

Model: Kia Spectra Fault Code: P0030 Posted: 2006-09-16 17:08

Anyone have some input for this? Codes were P0030 & P0134 (Bank 1 Sensor 1 Inactivity / O2 heater circuit fault). So I changed the sensor and now get a P0031. (Heater circuit low input) Without a pinout for the sensor and not knowing where the voltage is supplied from, I am at a loss for where to look next. If you have seen or done this tail chase before, I would appreciate some insite. FLOYD

Thanks Jeff. After doing some research I found a different part number for the sensor and then went back to the parts store and proceeded to show them that they gave me the wrong one. Luckily they conceded the fact that their computer was wrong and gave me the one I wanted. Ali-Kasaam.....presto-magic. It works fine. thanks again for the idea.

It's a good lesson, Dealer parts often cost more for that very reason, expertise and experience, Brakes, suspension etc , the parts stores are awesome but the sensors and most electrical stuff is best left to the dealer. So many things are vin # specific anymore, without all the info it's alot like throwing dice Cheers
