Hyundai Sonata 2011 GLS P2192 and P0106 Fault Code: No Power, Poor Idle Symptoms

Model: Hyundai Fault Code: P0106 Posted: 2020-02-19 18:15

Hi there, I own a 2011 Hyundai Sonata GLS and am experiencing serious performance issues. The car produces no power at all—when I press the accelerator, RPM increases but vehicle speed does not improve. Additionally, the idle is unstable and very poor. My check engine light has come on, and I've been reading fault codes: P2192 and P0106. I'm looking for reliable solutions to diagnose and fix these issues before they worsen. Any insights or troubleshooting steps would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Start by diagnosing the P0106 code, as it is directly linked to engine performance issues. Possible causes include: - Faulty Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor - Water or dirt intrusion into the MAF sensor connector - Intermittent open circuit in the reference, ground, or signal wire for the MAF sensor - Intermittent short circuit in the reference, ground, or signal wires - Ground corrosion leading to intermittent signal faults - A break in the flexible air intake duct between the MAF and intake manifold - Faulty Powertrain Control Module (PCM)—note: do not assume PCM failure without ruling out other possibilities first. For more detailed information, refer to official P0106 troubleshooting resources.
