Hyundai Kona 1.6T 4WD - O2 Sensor Upstream Faulty? Emission Test Passed but Resistance Reading Shows No Value
Hi everyone, I recently purchased a 2018 Hyundai Kona 1.6T 4WD and am experiencing an issue with the upstream oxygen (O2) sensor. Using an OBD2 scanner, I detected no fault codes, but during the 'Emission Test' in the diagnostic system, it reported that the 'Oxygen Sensor Heater' passed. However, when I tested the resistance of the sensor using a multimeter, I received no reading — which is inconsistent with the service manual specification of 2.4 to 4.0 ohms. This discrepancy has left me confused: Is my O2 sensor actually faulty, or could there be another explanation for the passing emission test? Any insights or experiences from owners of Hyundai Kona 1.6T 4WD with similar issues would be greatly appreciated.
