Hyundai Accent P0441 OBD2 Code: EVAP Control System Incorrect Purge Flow - Diagnosis and Fixes

Model: Hyundai Accent Fault Code: P0441 Posted: 2017-04-20 12:42

Has anyone else experienced the P0441 error code on their Hyundai Accent? This code indicates an incorrect purge flow in the EVAP (Evaporative Emission Control) system. The issue doesn't stay constant—it may appear for a few weeks, then disappear and return randomly. While multiple causes are possible, what would be the first troubleshooting step to address this problem? I'm looking for practical advice based on real-world experiences with Hyundai Accent models.

The issue might still be covered under warranty—there is a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) available that recommends reflashing the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) to resolve P0441 in certain Hyundai Accent models.

I checked the power supply and found that when the key is on, there is power to the brown wire. However, when the key is off, I observe ground on the same wire. The blue wire shows very weak voltage under both conditions—this could indicate a wiring or sensor issue in the EVAP system.

Boozel — it looks like you've added a comment to an existing post that doesn't belong. Please start a new topic with clear details: vehicle year, engine type, model, all OBD2 codes, and what troubleshooting steps have already been taken. This will help maintain clarity and improve the quality of discussions on the forum. Reference: http://www.obd-codes.com/forums/posting...=post&f=23
