2004 HUMMER H2 P0300 Code: Diagnosis and Next Steps
Hi, I own a 2004 HUMMER H2 and am consistently receiving the P0300 diagnostic trouble code. I've already replaced the bank 1 oxygen sensor, MAF air sensor, installed new spark plugs and wires, and replaced the coil pack for cylinder 8. Despite these efforts, the vehicle continues to exhibit a noticeable vibration. What should I check next to resolve this issue? Any advice or troubleshooting steps would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Only the P0300 code is present — that's helpful. For a more accurate diagnosis, using an OBD2 scanner to monitor fuel trims, ECT (engine coolant temperature), MAP (manifold absolute pressure), and MAF (mass air flow) readings would be ideal. Consider performing a fuel pressure test. Also, check the condition of your spark plugs — look for wet, dry, black, or tan deposits. Vacuum leaks should also be ruled out. Always use OEM parts and maintain stock components; did you install AC Delco spark plugs? This could impact performance.
