PO715 Fault Code in Honda Odyssey: Speed Sensor Issue and Solutions

Model: Honda Odyssey Fault Code: P0715 Posted: 2008-06-19 14:36

The OBD2 fault code PO715 indicates a problem with the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS). I replaced the sensor with a new one, but the warning light remains on. Despite this, the vehicle operates normally. What other components or systems should I inspect? Is it possible that the issue lies elsewhere in the speed sensing system?

Could you please specify the model year and engine size of your Honda Odyssey? This information helps determine the exact wiring, sensor location, and potential compatibility issues.

Is the speedometer displaying incorrect readings or cutting out during operation? If so, this could indicate a deeper issue with the signal transmission from the vehicle speed sensor to the instrument cluster.

vehicle speed sensor is linked to the traction and abs control module. This all wheel sensors and scan computer for codes. A light in the instrumet custer should come on if vehicle is not detecting a speed. Also check speed sensor but it wont be the case if the vehicle is runinng fine. I have found out that by replacing abs/ traction control module will fix a lot of these problem. it is expensive so find a good shop that is willing to work with you and maybe swap parts to help you out.
