P340 Fault Code on 2013 Honda Odyssey: Caused by Tire Spin in Snowy Conditions?
My wife was driving into work during a snow and ice storm. While navigating the slippery road, she spun her tires slightly, after which the Check Engine Light (CEL) activated. I scanned the vehicle and found fault code P340, indicating an issue with the camshaft position sensor. I believe the tire spin may have caused a minor vibration or shift in the sensor, triggering the warning light—though no actual damage has occurred, as she is not a hard-driving driver. I have cleared the code temporarily and will monitor whether it returns. The vehicle continues to run smoothly, starts easily, and shows no roughness or performance issues. Has anyone else experienced this type of P340 fault in their 2013 Honda Odyssey? Was my diagnosis accurate?
