P0107 Code on 2001 GMC Yukon SLT 5.3L After Engine Maintenance - Fix Guide
Hello everyone! I'm new to this forum and seeking some help with a recurring issue. I own a 2001 GMC Yukon SLT with a 5.3L V8 engine and rear-wheel drive. Recently, I replaced the knock sensor during an engine overhaul, which required removing the air manifold, fuel rails, and injectors — essentially everything on top of the engine. Since then, my Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) has been continuously illuminated due to a P0107 diagnostic trouble code. The truck runs normally with no performance issues — full power, smooth acceleration, and no stalling. I've already installed a new intake manifold gasket, two new knock sensors, and a new knock sensor wiring harness. However, the P0107 code persists. I suspect that something may have been improperly reassembled or loosened during the work. Could it be a loose connection, a damaged wire, or an air leak in the intake system? I'm particularly concerned about the MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor location and integrity. Any insights or troubleshooting steps would be greatly appreciated.
P0107 refers to a Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor issue. It's important to inspect the MAP sensor itself and its connections. Source: https://www.obd-codes.com/p0107
