I have a GMC ENVOY 2004 and the P0606 engine code came on today. It says it is the PCM/ECM (powertrain/engine control module) that is causing this code to trip. Does any one know how much it would cost to get a new PCM/ECM MODULE ? I live in Oshawa, Ontario, CANADA.
Question that was asked. Have you done any changes to vehicle? Yes replaced the cluster board . a known gmc problem. Added any after market components? Yes The gmc clusters are rebuilt by gmc. Customers buys rebuilt cluster then returns the removed cluster. Does anyone know if this change causes pmc error codes or thermostat error code and filter codes. that is a rare code on a GM vehicle... not unheard of but rare. Have you done any changes to vehicle? added aftermarket components? any other codes? any issues? I would suggest you see your local dealer as there is a bulletin for this #PIP3164B - maybe not free BUT a start. BASICALLY a reflash
