Model: Fuel Level Sensor Fault Code: P0460 Posted: 2007-03-11 15:56

Hello everyone, I'm having trouble with my 2004 Ford Focus SE with a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine. The vehicle is showing two diagnostic trouble codes: 1. P0460 - Fuel Level Sensor A Circuit Malfunction 2. P0463 - Fuel Level Sensor A Circuit High Input Has anyone else encountered these specific codes on their 2004 Ford Focus? Does the fuel gauge still function properly? Where is the fuel level sensor located? Any insights or troubleshooting tips would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance for your help.

The fuel gauge should work normally. The fuel level sensor is typically located inside the fuel tank, near the fuel pump.

Was there a known extended warranty or recall related to fuel pumps on 2004 Ford Focus models?

Yes, the gauge still works. Jeff Compton, do you have anymore info on that recall? I've never received any info through the mail on it.

If there's a known issue or recall, it’s recommended to provide your vehicle's VIN directly to the dealership for verification and support.
