Did you replace the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) with a dealer-grade or aftermarket unit? Ensure proper installation and verify continuity in the VSS circuit, as a faulty sensor or wiring issue can trigger P0503 and P0500 codes and cause erratic gear shifts.
