decided to change out coil pack, wires and plugs. i carry around 300lbs of tools, with an automatic it was sluggish on the low end.i decided to use a screamin demon coil pack with livewires and motorcraft platinum plugs gaped to .065 . idles smoother, a lot peppier on the low end and when you pass it kicks down and revs smoothly to the shift at 5500 rpm. the engine light has stayed off so it appears the rich fuel problem has been solved. cherry on top would be better fuel mileage. might be too much to ask. pleasantly surprised it was that easy a fix.
Do you have a dmm do some circuit checks.
