U0100 and P1000 Fault Codes on 2006 Ford Fusion - OBD2 Inspection Failure in NJ

I've been experiencing U0100 and P1000 diagnostic trouble codes for over 2,500 miles. I used an OBD-II scanner to detect the U0100 code, but when I took the vehicle to the dealership, they only identified the P1000 code and mentioned a different component issue that they plan to repair. I expected the U0100 code to be linked to my P1000 issue—why wasn't this code detected during their inspection? Thanks for any insight. (I live in New Jersey, where vehicles with an incomplete OBD2 system fail emissions inspections due to the presence of P1000.)

The component issue referenced in the dealer's diagnosis may indicate a physical fault. Try using a different OBD-II scanner to verify if both U0100 and P1000 are present, as some scanners may not detect all codes consistently.
