Ford Focus 2012 Fault Code P0607: TCM Failure and Manufacturer Warranty Coverage

Model: Ford Focus Fault Code: P0607 Posted: 2016-08-04 18:40

Hi everyone. My 2012 Ford Focus is currently at the dealer with a fault code P0607, which they are attributing to a faulty Transmission Control Module (TCM). I'm concerned because Ford appears to be refusing responsibility for this issue. Can anyone confirm whether this fault code is covered under the emissions warranty or if there's official guidance on TCM-related failures? I've been told that Ford doesn't stand behind P0607, but I'd like to understand if this is a common issue and what my options are under warranty or lemon law.

The full context matters. If the vehicle has been modified, you may have no recourse. Otherwise, check page 17 of Ford's official warranty document for state-specific details: https://www.ford.com/resources/ford/gen...arranty.pdf

I had to be towed twice within a single day due to TCM-related issues and fault code P0607. It's a serious reliability problem.

The dealer claims Ford doesn't support fault code P0607. After researching, I found that under my state’s lemon law, the manufacturer must cover repairs if the issue occurs at least twice within a reasonable period—this may apply to me.

Is your vehicle stock with no modifications? This is not a lemon law issue—it's covered under the Emissions Warranty (8 years or 80,000 miles). Have you reviewed the link provided? Also, have you contacted Ford Customer Service directly to discuss P0607 and warranty coverage?
