Ford Focus C Max 2.0 TDCI 2007 - Fault Code P2263: Turbo or MAF Sensor Issue?

Model: Ford Focus C Max 2.0 TDCI 2007 Fault Code: P2263 Posted: 2015-04-28 05:42

Hi everyone, I'm experiencing a persistent fault code P2263 on my 2007 Ford Focus C Max 2.0 TDCI. I've been advised that this could indicate an issue with the turbocharger, but after completing 105,000 miles and having the EGR system blanked, the problem hasn't resolved. The vehicle has been regularly serviced, and a fellow owner suggested the MAF (Mass Airflow) sensor might be at fault. I'm seeking advice on what could be causing this code and whether it's more likely related to the turbo or another component. Any insights would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Raymie.

I'm confused - you mentioned 'Done 1005 miles', but that seems incorrect. It should be 105,000 miles. Could you confirm the actual mileage? This might affect the diagnosis of P2263.

Thanks for clarifying - I see now it was a typo. The correct mileage is 105,000 miles, which helps contextualize the issue with the P2203 fault code in this long-term TDCI engine.
