2003 Ford Falcon BA Sedan with P0743 and P0773: No Start Issue After Removing Battery Terminal
I'm experiencing a recurring issue with my 2003 Ford Falcon BA Sedan where the car won't start unless I first remove the battery terminal. This has happened multiple times, especially in the mornings. Once I disconnect the battery and reconnect it, the vehicle starts normally. During diagnostics, the ECU reported two fault codes: P0743 (Torque Converter Clutch System Electrical Failure) and P0773 (Shift Solenoid E Electrical Fault). The fuel pump appears to function correctly — it primes when the key is turned, and I can confirm 12V on one terminal of the coil plug. However, there's no injector pulse signal detected during startup. I'm concerned whether these transmission-related fault codes are directly causing the starting problem, especially since the engine doesn't show any spark or fuel delivery despite normal fuel pump operation. Could P0743 and P0773 be linked to the no-start condition? Any insights or troubleshooting steps for this issue would be greatly appreciated.
