Ford F-350 2000 V10 4x4 OBDII Code P0125: Engine Coolant Temperature Issue with Cylinder Misfire Codes?

Model: Ford F-350 Fault Code: P0125 Posted: 2010-12-29 19:22

The OBDII code P0125 refers to an engine coolant temperature issue. However, I'm also receiving cylinder misfire codes. I'm wondering if it's possible for a 2000 Ford F-350 V10 4x4 to log three separate cylinder misfire codes simultaneously? Any suggestions on how to diagnose or resolve this issue?

Could you please list all the diagnostic trouble codes you're currently seeing? It's not uncommon for a vehicle like your Ford F-3-50 to log multiple cylinder misfire codes, especially with aging components.

Hi Jeff—thank you for responding. The additional codes are single misfires for cylinders 3 and 6. Previously, I only had a code for cylinder 5. I replaced the coil and plug for cylinder 5, and the injector sounded good (tested with a stethoscope). After clearing all codes and confirming they don't appear on the dashboard, the truck exhibits a 'bump' at low idle but runs smoothly at highway speeds. Neville

Why are you using dashes instead of spaces in your text? Is there an issue with your keyboard?

As a matter of fact, yes! My phone died too—my truck is now in a snafu, and I haven't worked on vehicles in three months. Top that off! Ha-Ha Neville
