FORD F-150 50,000km - P2097 and P2099 Codes: Post Catalyst Fuel Trim Too Rich (Bank 1 & 2)

Model: FORD F-150 Fault Code: P2097 Posted: 2015-10-20 23:46

Hi everyone, my FORD F-150 has had the engine light on for two days. Over the past six months, I've noticed a rough idle that occasionally occurs—especially when I quickly press down on the accelerator, after which it resolves itself. The OBD2 scanner shows generic fault codes P2097 and P2099: 'POST CATALYST FUEL TRIM TOO RICH, BANK 1 AND 2'. Could this be caused by a faulty sensor? I've been using cheaper fuel at the taxi stand—could that be contributing to the issue? Would adding fuel injector cleaner help, especially since I’ve never used additives before? Any insights or troubleshooting tips would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.
