Dodge Ram 1500 4.7L 4x4 P0320 Fault: No Crank, After Replacing Crank and Cam Sensors

Model: Dodge Ram 1500 Fault Code: P0320 Posted: 2019-04-16 15:52

My Dodge Ram 1500 with a 4.7L V8 4x4 engine is showing fault code P0320 after previously resolving P0340 and P1391. The vehicle turns over smoothly but will not start or fire up. I've confirmed adequate fuel pressure (in PSI). After replacing both the crankshaft position sensor (CKP) and camshaft position sensor, codes P0340 and P139

P0320 indicates no signal from the Crankshaft Position Sensor (CKP) to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). Check terminal 3 of the CKP sensor, which connects to the orange 5V wire at the AT connector. Are there any other diagnostic trouble codes present? The next step should be a thorough wiring inspection using a digital multimeter (DVOM) and the official wiring diagram. For definitive diagnosis, use an oscilloscope to observe the signal waveform. However, the simplest solution may be replacing the CKP sensor with an original Dodge part—aftermarket sensors are not recommended. Note: Fuel pressure must be measured in PSI, not bar or other units.
