2001 Dodge Intrepid 2.7L Engine Misfire Codes P0202 and P0302 - Solutions & Diagnostics
I own a 2001 Dodge Intrepid with a 2.7L engine, currently at 123,000 miles. The vehicle is throwing diagnostic trouble codes P0202 and P0302. I've already replaced the fuel injectors and spark plugs. All ignition wires appear to be in good condition. At this point, I'm considering replacing the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) as a next step. However, I'd like to confirm if there are other potential causes or diagnostic steps before moving forward with such an expensive repair.
A noid light can help diagnose this issue effectively. Does the signal flash? Is it steady? Or does it stay off entirely? Additional tests: 1) With the engine off, connect a digital multimeter (DVOM) to the injector connector wires. Apply power with the key on and ignition in 'OFF' position. Is there 12 volts present on both wires? If not, this could indicate a wiring or ground issue. Note: A consistent absence of voltage may point to faulty connectors or poor grounding.
