2013 Dodge Dart Clutch Pedal Switch Fault Code - Cruise Control Not Working
My 2013 Dodge Dart is throwing a fault code related to the clutch pedal switch. The vehicle starts normally, but cruise control fails to function. When the clutch is engaged, the switch remains in the 'locked' position and can only be manually released by hand. Once released while driving, cruise control works until the clutch pedal is fully engaged again—after which the switch re-locks automatically. I have already shaved off the plastic nub that holds it in place to prevent locking, and now the switch tab moves freely without locking. However, despite this physical modification, the vehicle still reports a fault code. This issue appears to be related to sensor detection rather than mechanical failure.
Can you confirm the exact P0XXX diagnostic code you're seeing? This will help identify the specific issue with the clutch pedal switch.
