Dodge Dakota 1998 V6: P0351 Ignition Coil & P0138 O2 Sensor Circuit Fault - Freeway Shutdown Issue
My 1998 Dodge Dakota Sport with a 6-cylinder engine is experiencing repeated shutdowns while driving on the freeway or in stop-and-go traffic. The vehicle shows fault codes P0351 (Ignition Coil Primary/Secondary Circuit) and P0138 (O2 Sensor Circuit). I have already replaced the ignition coil, oxygen sensor, and crankshaft position sensor. Despite these repairs, the truck shuts off under load and only restarts after being pulled over. The issue recurs within a few days after replacement. I've now replaced the ignition coil twice with no lasting fix. I'm seeking advice on how to properly diagnose and resolve this recurring problem.
