Chrysler 200 2.4L Engine Stalling with P0335 and P0336 Codes After Alternator Replacement
Approximately one month ago, I replaced the alternator on my Chrysler 200 with a 2.4L engine. Since then, the vehicle runs for about 30 minutes before stalling multiple times—typically between two to nine times—on the way home. When I connect a code reader, it displays both P0335 and P0336. I have already replaced both the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor and camshaft position sensors, yet the car continues to shut off while driving. After these replacements, the vehicle now shows a camshaft circuit A malfunction code. Despite troubleshooting, the issue persists. I'm seeking reliable solutions for this recurring stalling problem. Any insights or diagnostic steps would be greatly appreciated.
Note: P0335 refers to a crankshaft position sensor circuit malfunction. Possible causes include: damaged CKP sensor connector, damaged reluctor ring (missing teeth or failure to rotate due to sheared keyway), open or shorted sensor output (to ground or voltage), failed crankshaft position sensor, broken timing belt, or PCM issues. For detailed troubleshooting, refer to official repair guides on P0335.
